I really enjoy this game...

Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive is the fourth wargame in the Decisive Campaign series. Covering the battles in the Ardennes between December 1944 and January 1945, it brings to life Operational wargaming by lowering the scale to just above tactical level.

...and I hope there is a series of these or DLC with the fights in Eastern Europe.
The Graphics are beautiful. I play with NATO symbols in other games I own but I just get the atmosphere with the art work.

I own all the other Decisive Campaigns ..but this hits the sweet spot. I own John Tiller Campaign Panzer Campaigns and Panzer Battles and found I’m never gonna get my Third Star. Operational battles are too much for me.[:D][:D]

You guys are on to something with your implementation of fog of war.

I agree. The artwork is superb and really helps with immersion.

One of the best games out I have seen in quite some time.

+1
I hope for some other engagements with the series with that scale.
1 tank destroyed is 1 tank destroyed. I love that fact.

There is no such thing as a historically accurate strategy game. Every game stops being accurate from the very first move player make. The first unit that moves ahistorically, first battle with non-historical results, means we ride into the unknown.

Me too

Steadily playing through the scenarios, starting small, now just played St Vith.

Learning all the time and really enjoying the detail.

All on the 77th anniversary too!

I agree it's a great game. The artwork and the music really stand out. Would like to see more scenarios released, official or user-made.

Agreed, the game is great. Please no Eastern Front though (at least yet), 44-45 Western Front is lacking a strong operational title and DC:AO is the perfect candidate for it with expansions IMO.

Does anyone have a list in order of small to large?

It's easy. All scenarios are on the list named: large, medium and small. You see it in game :-)

I'm really enjoying digging in. I'm still learning and every time I fire up the game, I figure out something that I was not doing right or just plain ignored in the previous turns. And yet the information is right there, easy and fast to access, and once you understand a system it makes perfect sense. The game really develops an anxiety as the AI reacts and you have to figure out how to change your plan. Very good stuff!

Beautiful game with fun battle. And good manual too. Probably the best game so far of this style.
I really like the graphics of unit cards and terrain.

But I am forever stuck on the Stavelot battle. I cannot win as Germany [:(]
I play Stavelot on default settings except I always set AI to slow speed so it can work at its desired pace.
I lost 8 times so far (yes 8 times), and I fear this game may be the end of me if I can never win, and my other nice games like the new Warplan Pacific will not be played if I cannot win at Stavelot. My best run (my 8th replay) I got 66 points which is still short of the 80 I need for a minor victory. Have people won this battle as Germany? The US response is like Popeye eating spinach with the powerful 505 and 508 Airborne and many infantry and tank battalions surging forth in north, center and south. I only have 2 divisions so I can't cover all 3 "theaters" (very tiny theaters). I try to hold in the center and south after taking a few towns including the lovely town of Trois, while trying to push ahead a bit in the north, but the USA has so many units swamping the whole area by day 2. This is not a complaint, just a futile plea for a glimmer of hope if I hear people have won.

Everyone has problems with Stavelot when they first start playing.

Here is a thread giving pointers on how to pull out a victory: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=5105938

Have to move fast.
