Thanks! This is quite informative and fills in many of the blanks of my cold war and current documents.

I find it interesting that there really isn't an NCO corps in the structure. I guess the contract system works for them in a similar way that the enlistment system works for the US. Still, it seems like it places a huge burden on the junior officer corps.
