Do Air Doctrine screen changes implement immediately?

Post by thedoctorking »

So say it's the end of my ground phase, and it's snowing. In the air phase, I left my Ground Support missions set to run in >Fair weather. But now, looking at the situation, I think I want them to fly regardless of the lousy weather because otherwise the enemy is going to carve me a new one, and a few hundred operational losses are preferable. Can I change this setting in the Air Doctrine screen and have it take effect for the immediately following enemy turn? Or is this just the default settings for any new air mission I set up in the future?

Just answered my own question with a test, and the answer is it doesn't appear to change anything. It would be nice if there were any way to fix this without going back and re-doing the entire turn. Is there? Or are you stuck with the mistakes you made in the air phase?

What you do in the air phase cannot be altered during the ground phase, no.

+1

Also lets imagine following situation:

player sets naval interdiction for Odessa to run in both phases with escort and bombers, but he is able to take Odessa in his ground phase.
Now there is no way to cancel naval interdiction and supply with planes are just wasted.

Same goes for a recon, it looks like wite 1 was more advanced in that term than wite 2.
My suggestion about a recon:
