Loading: Please Wait

I am simply not getting past the initial screen that says "Loading: Please Wait". I am running on a reasonably modern HP Laptop with Windows 10 and 16GB of RAM. The resolution is set to the system recommended 1366x768.

I am googling around for a solution but nothing I try seems to work. I simply cant get past the loading screen that locks up my entire computer. I have rebooted some 20 times or so, over the last 24 hours, trying to get it to work.

Hi, I had a similar issue, I am not sure if it is the same.
I was installing the original version 11,153 (file that I received when I purchased C:MO), then updated and always got stuck at the loading menu.
After numerous tries and not too much help, going as far as formatting my main drive and reinstalling Windows, the final fix was to go on the Matrix C:MO home page, login and download the installation file there (11,4714), then updated and it worked perfectly.
When the installation file is too old, updating corrupt something that won't let you play.
My two cents.
