Ah, the "ranger" joe. Uou speak with a forked tongue. The worst violator of standards in your verbose posts. Hard to imagine that you can honestly criticize another with your demonstrated abuse of what is now allowed.

Inaccurate, too.

If duct tape doesn't fix it then you are not using enough duct tape.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity and I’m not sure about the universe-Einstein.

Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Hi Aurelian - I tried PM ing you back but a message saying your inbox is full or you do not accept PM's came up.
Anyway, I agree with what you said.
I also agree with your thoughts on the Marat and her sisters. These battleships fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down
They were possibly even uglier viewed from the stern - she's like a push-me pull-you....

Fixed the PM
I think they were better looking before the rebuild. But not by that much.

Valiant looking good here. No surprise really. As she is a foxy, younger sister, of a renowned beauty. But who is she followed by?

Richelieu - so presumably in the Indian Ocean?
So, from what battleship is the photo taken? Fairly easy, I would guess.

So started to look around for pictures of French battleships because I recall that I previously thought 'that is a nice looking battleship' when I saw a picture of French BB. But I do not recall what ship it was. And it is never wrong to include a French beauty in a battleship contest. Alas, I didn't find the picture I was looking for. And I am not even sure what BB it was. Maybe Strasbourg?

Queen Elisabeth I would guess (apologies I don't have a working button for the last letter of the alphabet....).

Personally I am not a fan of these ships. The gap between the funnel and the bridge looks odd, and the lack of a main turret at the rear gives a lop-sided appearance a la the Nelson's. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Right. So are we going to have a BB contest then? One from each of UK, USA, Germany, Italy, and Japan? Where in the end the one from US wins? [:)]
