Logistics question

I've picked up this game again after a long time off. My memory is that in order to maximize logistic points the truck/train stations should be built one hex off the main line on a dead end. Should the main line pass through the cities and the stations be offset, the cities be off the main line with stations in the cities, or does it matter? Also does a supply station cause the logistics points to be refocused if the line passes through it or just the stations? Or am I completely misremembering?

The small bases only Refresh Supply Runners AP when they pass through.
Only assets that actually "produce" Truck or Train Logistics refocus anything hitting them.

what do you guys mean by 'refocus' .. set the AP to 0?

Refocussing of Logistics Runners:
Used AP are reset to 0. Availible AP are set to the current assets Max Logistic AP. A percentage of the overall is lost.

So a asset on the road will extend range, but not without costing you capacity. That is why chanining assets on the road is rarely a good idea.

There's a branching penalty now too, which means you gradually lose more and more logistic points with each branch. You'll want to factor this into your designs.

Learned that the hard way after conquering AI territory with their infinite road spam. Cleaning up all those branches saved me. It appears its not enough to block them off with traffic signs - they have to be destroyed.
