Divisional sorting of equipment like production screen

Rather than a pile of spaghetti how about being able to sort components of a division by type like say Tanks, Guns etc. Like the equipment screen in production I think - boy it would be much easier to read.

Also there is so much space on so many screens with the actions button hidden in a corner, why?? This all needs making more user friendly.
