If that is our game...which is possible...

When you attacked Iraq the Italians were sent 10 oil...and they transported it by sea, Africa, to South Atlantic to Med.

I suspect that was your attack on those transports.

I noticed this because suddenly my convoy light was lit up and the Italians had 3 convoy routes.

Its actually our game and its the oil being shipped from Iraq since they joined once the Axis conquered Cairo.
That seems to violate the rule that the Axis cannot use the convoy loop routes. If they cannot send transports likewise they should not be able to send merchants.

Agree but that seems to be how it works currently. I personally think the Axis should be able to use the loops as well (maybe there is a small risk of taking damage or takes longer for them). But I find it odd the German surface fleet can sail all the way to the USA but can't sail around Africa.

They were several exploits done when Axis was able to use loops. That's why it was removed.

Just feels strange when you control the Middle East but can't use any of the loops. Regia Marina is just trapped in Med with nothing to do unless you can somehow take Gibraltar...

It is also due to the range of Italian ships. While transports can make the trip the ships can't Look at a globe of Africa, not a map. It is a huge distance of lands they don't control. They don't have a real way to resupply.

Africa is huge but if the Axis take control of Egypt (most likely then would control East Africa) and they control Vichy North Africa then I would think it should be doable. Also the loops from the Red Sea to Persian Gulf should definitely work for both sides as that is fairly short.
