Leader killed 1.02.15 patch

Playing as the germans on turn 1 , i killed 12+ soviet leaders, never had this in the past

Previously there was a bug that has been fixed now.

From a patchnotes:
Leaders in HQs forcibly displaced were not being killed as often as they should (15% non-isolated/50% isolated). Fixed.

I played latest patch so it seems it s not fixed (1.02.15)

Why? You want to say that too many leaders are killed without a reason?

Previously there was almost none kills even if HQs were isolated and displaced.

Is the chance 15% both from forcibly displaced the same as being under attack? In that case, after installing the new patch, I had leaders killed in three consecutive attacks, so maybe something to keep an eye on after all?

Wasn't trying to contradict you at all, rather reinforcing your statement. I was referencing earlier posts as well. That's why I didn't quote your entire post. I'm going to stop playing for a couple of days and see if more players get this. Wouldn't want to kill Zhukov in early 41 ;)

I think top Soviets leaders should be in a safe zone for a first few turns. It means AI will not assign them to a HQ that just lost their leader.

To me it seems sort of strange that some things are scripted to occur on certain dates, regardless of the on-map situation. For example, the 11th Army disappears for Germany around the time of the Battle of Stalingrad, and you get Army Group Don etc, whereas on the Soviet Side you get the Transcaucasus Front appearing on the map and then later disappearing.

Meanwhile, leader deaths are randomized, so that you can randomly have a leader like Malinovsky getting killed on turn 2 (since he starts only a few hexes from the front near Odessa). Since it is apparently now a lot easier to kill leaders, I am fearful that Axis turn 1 min-maxing will now turn into a game of targeted leader assasination, where one of the main goals of the Germany South opening will be assasinating Rokossovsky and Malinovsky, as though one had Predator drones.

But Vatutin won't necessarily die at all, despite the fact that he died historically. 11th Army and will always "die" and other OOB changes happen at this historical date, but Vatutin may not die.

Ideally I wish that there were selectable game options for this stuff, or that it were changeable in the editor at least (although I know that sort of thing all takes programming time, so shrug). Personally I don't want to play games where the central point of Germany turn 1 is trying to go out of your way to do special tricks to assasinate good Soviet leaders before the Soviet player can change them or move them to a safe location.

I just tested displacing just over 60 HQs and saw 7 KIAs (which is near the 15% chance). I don't know if there is an increased chance of a leader kill if the HQ is in a combat hex. Also tested displacing them isolated, and got 32 KIAs. So it seems to work for me.
