Abbreviations

Hi everyone!

Can someone tell me what the following abbreviations mean?

CAS
PAS
SHORAD

CAS = Close Air Support

SHORAD= SHOrt Range Air Defense

PAS, I don't know for sure, what's the context?

Thank you! I am getting ready to play Kashimir's Chaos scenario. The briefing makes much more sense now.

Regarding the PAS, it was a mistake. I meant to write PAF which I assume means Pakistan Airforce, but I am not sure.

Also, would you happen to know what DCA means?

Sorry for being a pain, but I have never been good with abbreviations.

DCA = Defensive Counter Air
The boogabooga doctrine for CMO: Any intentional human intervention needs to be able to completely and reliably over-ride anything that the AI is doing at any time.

DCA = Defensive Counter Air

And you will probably trip on OCA as well - Offensive Counter Air (Fighter sweeps and striking at their bases before the bad guys can come up to bother you. DCA is generally CAP (Combat Air Patrol) and intercepts)
