Has anyone played a small fleet campaign enough to have an opinion? My only comment is maybe DDs and transports should not count towards stacking, other then that it seems to create a little better chance for the underdog and spread the navies out which is good

Two games already and I really like the change (both for WPP and WPE). I like also your idea not to count transports inside the stack.

For DD groups, I don't know. According to the manual, the big ones (CV, BB, CA) are coming with support ships. Does it mean escort ships?
Maybe we can do a trade off. The first DD group is not counted but subsequent ones are.

I fear someone doing the exploit to stack plenty of DD groups. [;)]

I like the limit at six for all types of units. It spreads out the task groups. I agree it would be nice to have transports excluded from the count however this might be a coding nightmare.

For sure I see there could be issues excluding DDs transports would be nice but not necessary as ships do intercept within range.
