Here is a question for the group

Post by crsutton »

Can I expect to kill fewer enemy pilots or the same amount when I am raiding a base and destroying aircraft on the ground vs those that I shoot out of the air. Does the game know and compensate for the difference?

Pilots do not spend all the time in their planes when on ground and their losses from bombs and shells are remarkably low in comparison to air activity losses, UV simulates this accurately enough. I remember I had one Zero squadron with 24 pilots and 4 planes, all other machines were bombed out.

I rarely see my pilots killed when planes are destroyed on the ground. Just the way I want it.[:)]

Now on the other hand I would love to see the IJN strikes actually destroy a plane on the ground every now and then.
