Landing zone terrain

I ran a 'Landing' search in the manual, other than a reference to open hexes, it doesn't exactly so what they encompass...for example can a helo land in a rice paddy? tall grass? ( scrub yes and completely open 'fields' or meadows yes of course) ....others may be...?

If you are using the Historical Landing Zones optional rule (which you should!!), then anywhere there is an LZ marker.

Otherwise, basically anywhere without trees or buildings or water.

I am sorry J, but I play with helo hist. lzs off..after Dak to, it just didnt seem realistic ot me. We landed well, in some hairy places and terrain, and I VERY much appreciate the hist. research you've put into this, but I think this tactical flexibility is a must....
