Bootcamp 4-The MIA Civilians of Dak Ri Peng

Post by dmh0667FU »

Have taken village (22,22), occupied with two CA Teams, waited several turns, but the Civilians haven't shown up yet. The Other civilians are across the river, with a CA Team and a Infantry platoon, so what gives?

I'm thinking I should try again.

If I remember correctly the village is in 2 hex's over 3 hex's. You have to have a team in each location. It threw me off at first as well.

Thank you, also checked the Objective locations and saw that. Tried it again, with that knowledge and got all the Civilians across the River, missed the message telling me to keep them at Alpha, and got in another loop.

On my 5th try, everything went a lot better, and got lucky in a couple of places, but the nail-biter was when I double-timed a CA Team over the ford (the Combat platoons had swept through but missed the sniper there), and the ambush completely missed them.

Squeezed out a US MinVic on the last turn, but my final civilian group didn't get unloaded in time at Bravo.

Thank you, appreciate that. It's a very complex playing scenario, and a lot of things have to go just right, it seems. Was able to get a minor victory, eventually, but was very close to a decisive one, I think.

That's great to hear!

It is completely possible to get a major for sure, but it is a challenge.
