1.02.13. Normal difficulty.

It has been said multiple times that when playing against an attacking AI you should set the enemy morale to at least 120 [;)]

Well I took a pause for say 6+ months, in hope game be honed to playable level. This my first run after that, so "Normal". Normal means normal for me. Not hard or whatever. Anyway I bet even against 120 morale I can beat THIS AI in early 43.

It is simply DUMB. Artifical Idiot. Keep attacking through swamps and forests with its tanks, like it was on release. Right in direction of Vladivostok I think. No breakthroughs, no pockets, no operative reasons, no ideas, no traps, no surprises. No hope, the only way is human vs human I think.

Interesting. I did play a few turns on Impossible difficulty and I gave up after 4 turns already as I could not establish a solid frontline, since the Axis would always find a way to open a breach!

EDIT: I am also playing with the 1.02.13 version [&:]

Your mistake. You can't hold solid frontline, just can't. Let them deep in, than cut off supplies. Cavalry closed in pockets is ultimate war machine for first turns. It's a game about supplies. On Impossible it is way harder than on Normal, but possible and pays off quickly. Another hint is to use VVS mainly for bombing supply trains.

Intresting problem occurs. I have literally nothing to repair railways. Really big pieces of land freed and not a single old alcoholic with a hammer cares about it. EXECUTE ALL THE PEOPLE'S COMISSARIAT OF RAILROADS!

IIRC the Soviet rail repair units start appearing around October 1941 or so. The reinforcements table should say when and how many.
