A Defening Silence

Matrix Games and Simulations Canada combine and completely remake two classic NATO vs. Warsaw Pact wargames into a new classic. Based on the original wargames “Main Battle Tank: North Germany” and “Main Battle Tank: Central Germany”, Flashpoint Germany is a new grand tactical wargame of modern combat. Every aspect of modern grand tactical warfare is included, from advanced armor, air and helicopters to chemical and tactical nuclear weapons. Step into the most dangerous war.. . that never was.

Rob is working on more scenarios, and I'm waiting for a new patch to test :)

Cheers

Deafening indeed! The harder I work the less gets posted here unfortunately. Apart from this project, just about everyone I have ever written software for has been calling up wanting work done, etc. Every time I start something, a new and more urgent priority arises. It happens to everyone of course....

The wife just broke her arm badly in a fall on an icey patch on the driveway. Now I can add cooking and doing all the driving to the list for the next 8 weeks!

The game is so near to done that I can taste it but getting the last few items complete is murderous. The creative juices are at a low ebb again - rules writing can do that to you. The rest of the team is pretty worn out too. David is cracking the whip though and a lot of the final sound and artwork should be falling into place shortly.

Side note: I kept trying the link for the old forums and getting nothing. It took a while to realize I might have to reestablish them all over again, but I'm here now!

Thanks for keeping the faith, cheers, Rob.

Thanks Rob

Am looking forward to this one. Hope you can find a way to do some linked scenarios, if not a full Campaign Game.

Also hope Dave & you will consider a Word/PDF Manual on the CD.
