variable set-up?

Post by Celeborn »

As any SL/ASL player can attest how one sets up adds a significant strategy element--esp as the defender. (hello Stalingrad) Wondering if/when we we get variable set-up scenarios...

Hi Celeborn,

We'll be looking at this. The challenge here is creating a simple interface and wedging it in before the gameplay starts. At this point, I don't think we can promise anything.

Cheers,

My two cents:

Do you want this game to be Squad Leader or Advance Squad Leader? What is the target audience?

Several of the suggestions would take the game toward ASL. If that is the goal and what people want then OK.

For me, I would prefer improvements first be made on the user interface. Several times I have inadvertently selected the Advance Phase button, or moved a unit into the wrong hex. If the game state is not changed then allowing a unit's movement to be undone would be nice.

Thanks
