Looking at yesterday, I see that he lost 3 Jakes on the ground
and again today he lost 3 Jakes. So it looks like I sank both
CAs and hopefully some of the DDs. I must move my CVs back South,
I see two TFs around Makassar that I need to investigate.

I would like to move a division into Manado, but I do not know where
his CVs are and I do not want to get hunt out to dry here.
Recon does show that there are no troops or aircraft at Manado.
Recon shows small forces at Makassar and at Kendari. I have Divisions
that can move to both.

I see a small TF 9 hexes from Koggala. I think it might be another
FT TF. I am going to move a SCTF into Koggala for a turn or two.

Funny, I swept Kendari and nothing opposed them. Recon shows some fighters there.

Waingapoe was taken and there are two AVPs moving there to support a PBY squadron.

June 1, 1943

A new month, not much in the new aircraft factories this month.

SS Trusty made it to Trincomalee today. 12 days in pierside repair
and then 3 days firing up the boilers and she can move to Colombo and
get fully repaired.

A bit of normal bombing.

I am pulling the trigger on the Kendari invasion. I hope he does not
show up with too many CVs. I can handle a good number, but not all he has.
It is just too good of an opportunity to pass up. I have the 9th Australian
Infantry Division landing and I have a number of follow on units, engineers,
BFs and air HQ. I do not see any CV TFs in the area and I can see fairly far out now.

I forgot earlier that June 1943 has a large number of ship upgrades also. Mostly, but
not all merchants and auxiliary ships, but a few warships also.

I sincerely hope the SS Trusty is not powered by boilers. The RN tried that in WWI and it was disastrous.

I just use the term 'fire up the boilers' to indicate that there is a three day period of getting ready to ship out.

My estimate is that he has about 950 - 1050 aircraft capacity in CV and CVLs. I have about 850 in and around Kendari.
I also have some land based fighters, attack bombers, TBs, DBs and Ausi Medium bombers that carry torpedoes.
If he shows up with most or all of his CV capacity I will be in trouble, but I do have a good base to fall
back on in Lautem. I only need a turn or two to be able to get Kendari up and running with a number of fighters
to help protect things. Note that Namlea was a size 3 airbase, it has fighters and DBs available, along with
PBYs to help see.

Even though one of my modern BBs took a Torp, there are still 2 more modern

The lost aircraft report for today lists 2 Jakes. It looks like he is putting
