State Fundings?

Post by Jorgen_CAB »

There are some things I just don't understand or there are some questionable reasons for some things to exist. Most likely I just don't understand things.

Anyway... I wonder why we can set limits for Ship, Troop and Facility maintenance. As far as I understand you would still pay maintenance on everything even if you set one of them to zero. Say I put ship maintenance to zero and Troop and Facility both at 50%... the maintenance for all my ships would still be payed.

Even if I don't have taxes enough to cover my expenses I will still pay all the maintenance I will just not get any extra for Colony Growth and Research and I will net a negative total tax income.

Also, seen from the streams, it looks as if the AI should be better at reducing the reserve credits stored to the empire cash reserve. This money is most often better spent at funding Growth and Research, at least as long as the empire cash is decently positive.
