So what happens in this format if the pic you post is wider than the space provided? Is there a scroll to the right or is the pic squished or simply truncated?

Looking at the former wider-than-screen maps in Lowpe's AAR, it appears the new forum reduces the map to fit, but retains the detail so when you zoom in you can see what was originally posted.

You can use the control + mousewheel trick in most browsers to really zoom in...even on normal sized graphics. It really lets you see those obscure movement pips without having to resort to windows magnifier. Of course you have to upload the picture and post it on the forum...but rather nice. :D
