A few questions on Pearl Harbor functions

Post by Rocco »

If I may pick your brains:

1) As the USN, can ships that arrive after the scenario start benefit from AA upgrades at Pearl Harbor? One of the BB that arrives has weak AA MG. Would sending her back to Pearl get 40mm Bofors installed?

2) Do ships benefit by getting sent back to Pearl mutiple times? For instance, some DD get upgraded from AA MG to 20mm. Would sending it back again result in 40mm Bofors getting installed?

3)I have 1 BB in theatre, while another is just sitting in Pearl. It is late august, and 3 CV's of mine have been sent to the bottom. There are 1 CA, 2 CLAA, and about 4 DD ready in Pearl to escort her, yet she has sat there for over a week now. Ship release is stated as Moderate. When are they going to send me the Big Guns?

Thanks for any help here, it is a little confusing because the manual says very little about Pearl Harbor. The forum disaster eliminated so many good posts

I searched using different terms and found all the answers I was looking for. Of all the games I have ever played, this is the only one that truely needs a strategy guide[:)]

Thanks

For what i understood the shipment of new ships from Pearl or Tokyo depends on how Nimitz his jap homologue consider your situation. In your case if the BB from Pearl does not arrive it means that your situation is not so critical and probably that BB can be usefull in other pacific Theaters.
