Attachments should have all been migrated over by now and should be available in new posts as well. Could you be more specific on what's missing?
Everything I ever posted for download. As an example, look at the three threads in my signature. The first post in each thread had an attached file. Not any more.

Also, all the text with embedded links is now an ugly mess that looks like this:
AE-Japan Setup

Is that going to be fixed?

Nor does the link button work. In the previous forum you highlighted the text, clicked the link button and up popped a box into which you added the link, and the forum software made it look lovely. Now all that happens is the text has url tags placed around it...and they lead nowhere.

In the scheme of current world events, this kind of thing doesn't even register, but that doesn't change the fact that this new forum migration is an utter goat rope.

I try to update an attachment in an earlier post. I can see the filename of the attachment in the post, but the attachment cannot be downloaded. Moreover, further edit found that the attachment was lost. I tried several time but all are unsuccessful. This is the relevant post https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 4#p4846174

All of my private messages are gone. Are there any plans to get them back?

Further to my earlier report of problem, a pic in the AAR I uploaded a few hours ago just disappeared. I tried and failed to upload the pic again. See the link https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 3#p4966423

How do I get the moderator rights that I had before in the forums I manage?

Moderator rights were also migrated over. The "MCP" at the top left and the mod tools within a thread (the little hammer button on the bottom left) are the mod tools you should see if you have moderator rights within a forum. The little hammer next to each thread is no longer how to access those (that doesn't exist in the new forum, it's within a thread now).

As noted previously, all the following have attachments missing: I haven't gone to check others assuming the same.

As for the moderating, I don't see how to pin or unpin threads
I have the same two technical questions:

1. Previous attachments to old posts are gone. Will these be updated in the near future or do we need to update them ourselves?

2. For forum moderators, how do we pin/unpin posts to the top of a forum now?

I checked with our admin, the attachment migration is still ongoing. We're hoping all attachment issues are resolved by tomorrow. In the meantime, thank you in advance for your patience.

Regarding moderator tools, it's correct that on the new forum pin/unpin is not available by default to moderators. We'd very much like to have that back, but I don't have an exact date for when that will happen.

What about the size limitation? I have updates to scenarios which I still can not post. It is extremely easy for a Command Scenario to exceed the current forum limitations. I have no problem re-posting the scenarios not in the Community Scenario Pack but I SIMPLY CAN'T! I'm emailing scenarios to people on the current Ukraine situation as they are PM'ing me.

Size limitation was upped to 10 megabytes shortly after the new forum opened. Are you saying it no longer supports that size?

There is currently a problem with posting any attachments as witnessed in several threads. I suspect migration of old attachments has to hold the attachments of new ones for a while. Patience!

the forum has become highly instable, if you dare to open more then 2-3 forum tabs at the same time it loses login data.
Many file attachments that were once visible in the new forum are lost/non-working again

I am confused by the "unread post" blue bubble. After I have viewed all posts in a topic the bubble color does not change and it appears that there are "unread posts". Also, I see a red file folder looking icon before posts saying unread, even after I have read the post. Am I doing something wrong, or do I just not understand what is being conveyed. Thank you for your assistance.

I've asked this before and there have been guesses but no real answer yet. Hope you have better luck getting one.

Hi everyone,

We are still working on improvements to the new forum. Please be patient and bear with us.

I just got news from our admin that the attachment issues should now be resolved. All past attachments from the old forum should now be migrated over.

If you have any issues with old or new attachments from this point on, please let us know.

Regards,

- Erik

We had some issues earlier today which were fixed. We also upgraded the DB server yet again. If you have any issues with instability or lag from this point on, let us know.

I am unable to post any uploads to update to scenarios I am working on for Command. I NEVER had an issue uploading on the old forum but I do now. Every time I try to upload the system dumps me out. They are less than 10MB, I just checked, but won't post.

EDIT: I managed to post using the AVAST Browser. This is unsat, Why am I bring dumped in all other browsers??? Again, this wasn't an issue before.

The new forum does not seem to be marking topics under forum as being read when you tell it to mark all forums as being read. Iss there a way around this issue.

It looks like now the forum does not show pics when a post is quoted.

For an example, see post https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 7#p4967097

Just so we know, which other browsers did you try and is there anything unusual in terms of your browser security/blocking settings or add-ons? Did you get any kind of error when the upload failed?

It would be helpful to put a sticky locked thread with an explanation of all the symbols and colors used in the forum posts. Or, if it already exists somewhere else a link to it.
