PBEM account issues

Hello folks.

So here's my issue.

I've had a pbem game running for a month or so, and every now and again I'd get randomly logged out of my account. No issue, I just log in again.

This time, however, when I was logged out of my account, I tried to log back in with the account Alantar, and it instead logged me into an older account "coolmiles5678" that I created by accident sometime last year. I went into the game files to log myself out, and relaunched the game. I again logged in with the correct information for the Alantar account, but it logged me into the other one. In the game file sc3.ini it shows me as logged into Alantar.

I am very confused to say the least, and sad to have lost my game. Can anyone help?

That is a strange one indeed and it might be best to contact Matrix Games support so they could look into what might be happening with your accounts from their end.
