Set up a research station

So I'm following Scott's helpful guide and got to event #5 (set up a research station) after succesfully scanning a planet. For whatever reason, I can't get the planet I fully scanned (nor did it work after the initial scan) to show up as a new research location in the box below? Ideas?

The lists can sometimes be a little strange, though the new research stations list typically behaves.

Are you sure you selected the right list? It's the one under Shift+F9.

I click on the "new research locations" button and there is nothing below. Yes I also used the shift-f9 which just opens the research menu.

Maybe zip your save and post it. The save file is in data\SavedGames under the DW2 installation directory.

Ok I will do. Question, so after I scan a planet, should all planets offer the ability to create a research station on them? The first two I scanned I'm not offered the ability to create a research station on either.

No. You can only build a research station at planets that offer a research bonus of some kind.

I can't figure out how to get the zip file to upload. Anyway, my second planet says +16% reactor research as a bonus, but isn't offered to make a research station.

EDIT: nevermind, it works now on the second planet, I had it paused lol.
