A suggestion: make the hex highlight a color like red or blue because with as much white as appears on the map because of the weather it is sometimes difficult to spot the highlighted hex.

Also, there is an intermittent problem where the display is not positioned correctly and the highlighted hex appears below the bottom of the display area.
