Defeated Japanese Units Retreating!

Chinese troops attack again near Liuchow as they shock attack across the river in pursuit of the Japanese forcing them to retreat once more while suffering heavy losses... the pincer attack on Liuchow was a full success and the shattered Japanese units are now retreating South East towards Canton, we are not trying to pursue them as the goal was to secure the railhub of Liuchow and cause a good amount of damage to the Japanese that's what we did... while the Chinese suffered hundreds of disabled combat squads the actual losses were minimal...

That Rabaul garrison was a huge pile of Naval support and AA guns....but a real lack of actual combat troops. Just a bunch of Nav Guards, which are not troops for sustained combat of any kind. Not a single tank or artillery piece larger than a mortar...

Yeah, completely inadequate to defend that important base. As I've said, I guess these units were meant to be spread out from Rabaul into nearby bases but that never happened due to my offensive and Port Moresby being built up way faster than Rabaul. I was pretty sure the prepped units that are tasked for will be overkill but then I also expected at least one IJA div in the stack and more heavy weapons. I guessed around 1200 enemy av at the base, proved to be way less. Besides what I have landed I have more being prepped for Rabaul, some 3000 av in total.

You sank all the shipping he was bringing to the area to move those troops. No wonder the Japanese expansion suddenly jerked to a stop.

airfield complex at Manado launches twin tailed devils to probe the air defenses over Mindanao which is the next target for our ground offensive... again having caught Nates on CAP at this stage of the war makes me both speechless and shaking my head... IIRC I was even asking wth there are Nates airborne and was told that Tojo production would be fully running and squadrons are awaiting those but that still doesn't justify having Nates on CAP IMO...

Tojos and Zeroes that showed up in the replay must have been on training but weren't caught...

Post by castor troy »

not spectacular losses on either side but today's attacks mean we have already achieved full air superiority over Mindanao which is only very lightly defended according to recon... next stack of enemy ground units seems to be on Luzon, every base within 4E range seems to have been evacuated... soon our troops can march to Tokyo...

I looked again and did not see any posts of his that had anything to do with the new forum software. I do hope he is OK.
