Resources and their locations

Hi All,

Hoping someone can answer this for me. So when I look at my list of resources, I see under each one, for example, 0 of 1 sources, and if I hover over that I see Mined Locations: 0 Known Locations: 1. Ok, I understand that just fine, however, I can't for the life of me figure out how to see where that 1 known location is that is not mined. I looked at each planet and asteroid that I have so far explored, but none of them show that particular resource. Can someone tell how to find the location it is referring to?

If you zoom to the galaxy level, then click on a resource in the list, all the star systems where that resource can be found are highlighted with a flashing ring.

Unfortunately, this didn't seem to work. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I tried clicking on one of the resources that I am currently mining, and my home system gets highlighted by the flashing ring, but nothing shows up at all anywhere when I click on one of the resources that say Mined Locations: 0 Known Locations: 1

You might be using the wrong list. The list I meant is the resources list (F6).

If that was, in fact, the list you were using, maybe something else is going on. If you upload your savegame, I can take a look if you want.

Thank you again very much for the reply. I am infact using the f6 list. Thank you for the offer, I'd love to upload my save but the limit for attachments here is 10mb

Try compressing the save first. Then it will likely fit.

I'm finding that what seems like a missing function is because it was changed and while probably a better solution isn't really highlighted even with the tutorials. Though before you beat your head about something definitely play the tutorial part for it first as that can immediately answer a question. Just like with dw1 the interface is going to take a bit to get used to.

I had a look. You haven't in fact discovered any sources of some of the resources it's telling you there is a known source of. Clearly the list is lying.

Don't worry about it for now. Get your home system surveyed and mined, and you should be well on your way.

Had the same question. Have lots of resources saying 1 of 2 or 0 of 1 but there's none of the known but not mined ones showing when clicking on the resource list (only the ones I'm currently mining get highlighted on the map).
