Incorrect starting location

I've posted this on a form....

I set my starting position as "Outer core" on the set up screens but when I click begin game it overrides my settings and always puts me in the "far regions". Have tried this 3 times with same effect.

Playing as Humans on an elliptical, 1000 star galaxy with 8x8 sectors. 10 other empires (varying levels of proximity) to me.

I think DasTactic had some issues like this during the Beta and Stream Versions

I select center, I always get edge, every time. Tried at least a dozen times.
