Matrix key not working on Steam

I was very careful to cut and paste it but it says it's invalid every time I try to input it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

A thought would be that make sure you are not accidentally using the redeem wallet code thing. It has to be the activate a product on steam thing. I have made that mistake before.

Are you going through Games -> Activate a Product on Steam? Careful to make sure there are no extra leading or trailing spaces?

If you can't get it to work, please contact our support at support@matrixgames.com and they can issue a new key.

Yes, using Games-Activate a code. Tried typing it in by hand to make sure there were no extra characters and it still stays it's not valid. Will contact support. Thanks.

Edit - The key worked fine to register the game here at Matrix.

OK, so the answer to my post is that the matrix key is not the same as the Steam key. Not sure when that changed as I was sure Matrix keys worked directly on Steam. So I got the Steam key from My Page and it worked.
