Crash fix ?

Was suffering with stuttering and crashing. Updated drivers, no effect. Don't know about codecs? Turned the music off ... no more stuttering and only one CTD since!! Running smooth ...

Can you post your specs?

Did you get the crash when you're zoomed in and a ship battle is occurring? I'm wondering if I'll be able to play if I mute the game.

Turning music off does help me, but still crash to desktop randomly, clicking on something in menu or zooming in or out on map, poof out to desktop, ship battles usually go fine for me.

I tried turning the volume down to 0% and it didn't help mine

I turned off the music because I do not like it in the game. Musik of DW:U was way better. I still do have a LOT of CRASHES!

Could you all please update to 1.0.1.8 and follow the steps in the pinned Troubleshooting FAQ in this forum, including which files to share with us?

Hi, I'm still getting Random CTD ... after the latest update I had resolution issues again .... not sure if this update made crashing more frequent...game was choosing the wrong resolution on every restart.
I'm not sure if the CTD issue is worse after the patch, but performance and stability seem worse with music on ...
