List of Scenarios

Post by MyP »

Hi,

Is there a list of the Community, Stand Alone or Paid scenarios available in text, csv or excel format that I can use to create a spreadsheet to help me record and manage the scenarios I've done in CMO and the ones I want to try next? It doesn't have to be perfect, just something I can start with and add to as I go.

Or is there a way to extract a text dump of the scenario names to get me started?

I have thought of taking screenshots and drawing a line through those I've done and asterisks for those I want to do, but that is quite messy.

I am starting to get a feel for the type of scenarios I like, which are mid complexity (Carrier battle group plus other installations, eg "A Helping Hand" was fantastic) and will work towards very large scenarios, but I fear that if I don't start with some of the slightly lower complexity scenarios now, I may not come back to them for a very long time! That's why I'd like to track the scenarios I am doing now and what want to do in the future.

I have never used it, but the scenario tool might help. Just a stab at it.

btw, I used to move copies of files into a played folder to track them.

Thank you!

That is an amazing tool! It doesn't give me the ability to add my own comments, or all the fields I'd like so I might still need a spreadsheet on the side, but WOW, for choosing/browsing scenarios it is much better than I could ever do with a spreadsheet. It does the core task so well, I could almost do away with my own "comments".

It is so good it should be referred to on the official website/addon download site, it really should. It really makes the content in the game more accessible for beginners. How did I miss this?

I have a save file for every scenario I start, so I can track played scenarios by looking at my save files, but do you drag the scenario out of the scenario folder so the main menu is just left with unplayed scenarios, or do you copy a save/scenario to another folder just for reference?

The CSP comes with an excel file that lists all the scenarios included in it. While it only tracks CSP scenarios, you could easily add others that you play to it.

Thank you also (and thank you for the list in the CSP and your work on it).

I have never looked into the sub folders after downloading the file and missed that. If I hadn't asked the question and had two helpful responses, I would be muddling through for another year wishing there was a better way!
