How to move into Nebula?

Post by Testmann »

I got an event that told me to search something inside a nebula (Ion storm).

But my exploration ship gets stuck on its way there.

Is there some tech that allows me to enter or something else?

Thanks for your replies,
Cheers!

The ion shield is one option, but a big one that costs power.

My advise is for Ion Sheath Armor. Unlocked at T3 Armor tech.
I usually give all my ships 1 piece of armor. And when I have that, it is Ion Sheath.

Keep in mind that ion sheath armor is a bigger investment in research, and you're not guaranteed to get it if you use random tech trees. Ion shields, meanwhile, are guaranteed to be in your tech tree.

Harder to get, but propably easier to install.

Ion Shield:
20 Size
5 Crew
2 Static Power
18 Ion Defense
50 Component Ion Defense (impossible to disable the component)

Ion Sheath:
10 Size
1 Crew
1 Static Power
10 Ion Defense

And I had issues with Autodesigner actually putting in the Ion Shield.
My guess is that it is intended for Military ships, while the Armor is for civilian ships.
