Immersive Empire Names

Post by LordMM »

The Intension of the mod was to essentially give you a unique and a lot more Sci FI soap Opera feel to the random Empires. The Empire names have been changed based on the government type. Since the government types are also restrictive based on the species. This automatically gives each of the species a wee bit more flavor based on the Empire names.

I have removed some of the Names which ends with Territory or Empire as that really did not denote anything.

Here are some of the Empires Names, You should be able to check the names and figure out what most of these empires stand for.

Since the names of the Empires also sometimes depend on the name of the system. This mod goes quiet well with the below mod located here.

I was looking at this file the other day but for a slightly different reason. Since we don't have civic modifiers like Stellaris I was scrolling thru to see how to convert and/or add more government types much like this mod linked below in order to give a little more flair and choice.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... government

The issue is obviously coming up with the different DW2 factors and balancing them. Frankly I wouldn't know where to start.

You can directly add more government types within the goverment.xml. Just copy the most similar government type and modify the values. Once you add the government type, you have to go to races.xml to add that government type to the specific races as an option.

Is it possible that in the file there are some modifiers that affect various revenues and so on? I think they need to be adjusted in the file to the latest game version.

From what I see, goverments.xml has not been updated yet in any patches.

I'd be interested if you gave a shot to the modded government file I made for SPACE AGE and gave me your impressions on balancing.
