Why am I unable to adjust the stockpile on this colony?

Post by Badbonez »

I have the stockpile automation set to manual but the arrows are greyed out and what's with the -21474 value?

I am trying to get enough resources to start a space port, but they keep spending them on other things. So I'd like to reserve the resources I need.

Having the same issue. It looks like a gamebreaking bug for me.

Same here. Save attached.

One consequence of this bug is that all luxury resources from mining bases (as opposed to on-planet resources on colonies) are sent to the capital, which consequently hobbles colonies. I suspect that this is causing some of the wider economic difficulties people are having ("why are my colonies producing so little income?" / "why is my colony development so low?").

I have discovered a work around for this. When I select the colony, then set automation to manual, I see these negative values in the data field. So what I do is:

Click the tab that says Hide Unused Resources.

You then see a smaller list of resources, which should have zeros instead of -21474. Enter a value of 500 in any field (for some reason, single digit will not work). Then click the Show All Resources button. The values should now be zeroed out and you can edit them.

(Unfortunately, this will not work on a planet that has no natural resources or those that have not been discovered.)

Hope this helps.

Yep, I did something similar. I recall switching to manual, back to auto, back to manual, and punching numbers into the fields until it worked. Sounds like you isolated the steps better than I did.
