PBEM Playback Zoom Level

Post by WeirdBumperSticker »

Is there a way to change the zoom level when I'm watching a playback of my opponent's move? The window is so small, I can barely tell what's going on. I don't remember this being an issue with earlier versions of TOAW.

Also, I noticed that the displayed range on artillery units isn't necessarily accurate for every piece of equipment in the unit, i.e. you can have guns with different ranges. How is the displayed range chosen? Mean/median/modal value?

There is no way to change the zoom level that I'm aware of and I have the same problem you have with the visibility. I think you'll find that when you go to change the range of your arty units that they start off as "-1" which is a hint to the game engine to use the arty unit with the longest range of all the different arty equipment.

Thanks. Not the greatest decision to use the max range, that's making a decision to show an outlier value in many cases. If the game is still being actively worked on, it would be nice to have the option to toggle between min, max, mean, median, and modal values. Or even better, express it as mean/max, median/max, modal/max.

Re: the zoom level, it wasn't like this in previous versions, was it? I remember those playing back in full screen.
