Why are all the turrets pointing in the same direction?

It seems odd that all the turrets face the same direction, even at the station.
I think the turret should face the front of the turret itself, not the front of the ship or station.

It's probably just the default orientation. They do turn when they're firing in combat though.

noticed the same some days ago...
all turrets just face to the "front" direction
like the back turret on this ship faces to the front too even when its fireing arc is to the back.

the loading screen even shows a ship with turrets pointing in the direction they should be pointing, so its a bit sad they dont point to where they fire to.

have this noticed in game, on an fight, too ...
a couple of turrests rotate "in" the right direction .... other dont rotate at all or simply in the wrong direction ....

I wish there was a way to fix this, as the barrels are sometimes buried in the hull as shown in the image below.
