Is there a way to auto-upgrade without computer changing my design?

Is there a way to auto-upgrade without computer changing my design?

I want the computer to upgrade to the latest version of devices but I don’t know how to do it without them changing everything. Maybe I’ll have to micromanage

The upgrade button in the ship design already do it automatically for me ? I'm on manual for adding stuff. It doesn't work for you ?

Do I have to hit upgrade for each individual item? Guess that’s what I have to do

I addressed this in ship design woes. I had a design I was comfortable with, but then I clicked upgrade and it designed it to have less fuel than I wanted and needed.
