Is there a s messages log?

For a moment a message popped up that my German forces were successful in killing a Soviet general. It was too quick and I was not able to read it the message. Is there a way to access past messages? Is there such a thing as a messages log in the game?

you can see leaders info (promotions, death, etc) in one of the info screens. shift + e if i am not mistaken and then select leaders checkbox.

Downside is that this info is only for a current turn. So you can not see list of an enemy leaders that had been killed in previous turns.
