Did 1.0.2.4 Make changes to early scenarios?

Post by Steelspring »

Started a few new games with the laters patch and any time a ruin is uncovered, choosing 'investigate ruin' doesn't seem to do anything and it doesn't leave the active log until it times out.

Alos, in the Zenoxi opening where the pirates offer the datacore early on, I'm now missing the actual option to buy, examine, refuse. It just instantly bought the thing, and automatically complained to the pirate faction which is now incensed and attacking my bases and they are unwilling to protect me for 125 per month.

Most of my settings are set to manual.

Nothing that should have caused those events to fail. I've also been seeing events working and investigations happening on 1.0.2.4 in my testing. Have you double-checked your policy settings on exploration?

Do you have any save files showing this that you could share?

Here are two saves, one just before meeting the Liberated of the Stars, and one just after.

Exploration set to Always send away teams, and prompt for investigations.

Have not run into this before and have started a few Zenox games prior to this.

I'll try a new game again and see if it changes or repeats.

So same thing happened in a new game, but decided to verify integrity of local files and two files updated. I know I had two files altered, one for music and one for system names, but didn't think they would be affecting this.

On restart afterwards, loaded the BEFORE save file, met the Liberated of the Sun and the interaction went through as it should, so no issues.

Cheers

Enjoying the game and looking forward to it growing over time!

I have/had some problems and I went Steam to verify local files and was somehow confused when Steam told me that I'm missing 152 files...

All patches were installed before.

Copied those and currently checking did it changed anything.

I just checked the file integration in steam...me too I had a few files missing and I did nothing. Seem something is wrong here of how the game handle the updates.
