how do u know if ur gpu is incompatible with high dunamic range?

what have the testing showed which gpus crash on the better setting?
will m amd gpu 480 handle it?

Try it out.
If it fails, delete the game settings and gamestartsettings files in the Game directory and start again.

If its an rx 480 then you are good to go on compatibility at least as far as the specs show. Performance will depend on your chosen resolution since its not a particularly powerful card now and it still may crash since amd gpu are the ones experiencing the most issues. Won't hurt a bit to give it a try.
