Afraid my wife agrees, she called your accent "posh" :P But then, she is from the east end
I was wondering how you came to support West Ham when your location says Nebraska

Yes, afraid she has been banished to the wastelands :P

No, sorry. He definitely isn't. Sounds a nice enough chap though.

Glad to see he uses the old style UI.

When we were testing before release, Matrix said please can you test using the new UI.

I tried- for about five minutes. It was painful- but maybe I'm just too old.

I sometimes play TOAW 3 because for some reason it seems clearer to my old eyes.

Thanks for your AAR .

Funny, the old UI is way too little for me to read. Everything shoved to the right side of the screen.

I did get instructions somewhere for reinstating the classic graphics in TOAW IV. If you're interested I can dig them up?

I play TOAW III for a couple of rather limited reasons;
1) some folks don't own TOAW IV
2) some scenarios would require extensive reworking to be playable in TOAW IV

However I generally find playing these older scenarios a frustrating experience because some of the new features (e.g. battlefield timestamps and overextended supply) really are transformative, especially for larger scenarios
Thanks for your AAR .
You're welcome. I aim to pick it up again later this week.

Most of the rest of Axis turn 2. These get a bit faster now I know what's on the board and what the plan is, but I still need to find time for them.

Turn 4 going on into turn 5.

A couple of interesting (to me anyway) asides here on the subjects of wrong way retreats and deciding what to move first.

Apologies if I'm getting ahead of people here- I had a bit more time to play on the weekend and then probably a good deal less during the week.

Sorry- my fault for posting in a hurry. I've updated the link now.

I guess that means you're not my 1 subscriber.

I agreed to a PBEM match last night (watch this space for a future AAR) and my new opponent immediately subscribed to the channel. So now I have two.
