Overrun and Displayed Odds vs. Resolution Odds

Post by canuckgamer »

Three questions.

1. Has the overrun problem been fixed in WPP where one of the conditions is that the unit being attacked must be less than 1/3 strength?

2. Is there a second requirement that a specific odds or higher has to be met as well? For example 7-1.

3. We have noticed in WPP a number of times where the odds after an attack has been resolved are 50% lower than what is displayed before the attack. For example, after choosing the units that will attack let's say it indicates 6-1. After resolving the attack, the combat log shows the final odds as 3-1. Is this a bug?

In our just started PBEM game, the Japanese overran a unit on turn 1 and the combat log indicated odds of 3-1.

Change overruns now have an added requirement of the unit being at 1/3rd strength or less, otherwise it retreats

Not necessarily, if the defender had some planes performing ground support, the odds may change. Same thing with shore bombardment.

You need to give examples AND screenshots to see all the combat parameters involved.

It is air support. The odds don't show that because they really can't know how it will impact the battle.
