Thanks. I was able to download your save, run the air phase, save it off, and then get a crash when I tried to load the save. So we've duplicated a crash, and we have saves along the process to the crash. I have sent Pavel all the info. He may need more info on exactly what you did when setting up the ADs, in which case one of us will get back to you asking for the needed info. Please hold up in your game until we can analyze this and get back to you. Thanks again for helping us get to the bottom of the problem.

We figured out what was causing the corruption and Pavel is putting in a fix. It was the ground attack AD aimed at a city fort that was causing the problem. I should have a beta exe with the fix in it later today. If you can email me at 2by3@2by3games.com, I can email you the exe for you to use once I get it. You should be able to load your MP game and run through the air phase once you are using the fix. If you want to continue your game, you should either wait to end your turn until the 1.02.25 beta is released, or you could send the exe to your opponent, or I can place a hotfix exe here for your opponent to download. Thanks for helping us figure out what was causing the corruption.

I think I can wait until 1.02.25 drops. Glad to have been helpful with figuring out the bug.

Is this case an exceptional situation or it is better to update in the end of a turn or at the start of the turn, for example?

I've attached a hotfix beta file in case anyone doing ground attack air directives to bomb a city fort wants to use it to avoid getting the corruption/crash. This beta needs to be unzipped and placed in your Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2 folder. This is not an installer, so you have to do this manually, and make sure that you have replaced your game exe file with this new file. It's advisable that you first rename your exe file before you unzip the new file in case you want to go back.

This 1.02.25 Beta was just released to our testers and it will likely be at least a few days before Matrix releases an installer with the update. The full beta update will include some revised data files (only important for new games) and updated living manual, while this hotfix is just the exe file with code changes. Below is the list of code changes in this update:

New Features and Rule Changes
• Non-motorized units in the Axis non-reserve Theatre Boxes will now on occasion automatically adjust their Max TOE levels. Generally these Max TOE levels will be lower than 100% when there is less manpower available in the pool. This is something the AI was already doing, and we realized we should be doing the same for the human player forces since they cannot be controlled by the human player. The impact will be lower force levels in the Axis non-reserve Theatre Boxes, especially later in the game.
Bug Fixes and AI Improvements
• Moscow depot in isolated pocket incorrectly received freight points, due to trucks from outside the pocket returning to the depot and then converting to freight (this also incorrectly triggered airhead supply for the pocket). Fixed.
• Game crashes upon loading a save made after the German air execution phase. In the air phase a ground attack air directive had bombed units in a city fort, causing data corruption. Fixed.
