Is there a way to change the refuel threshold for fleets?

Post by jaweknee530 »

I'd like it to be something other than "oh my god I used up 2% of my fuel moving across the system I better jump three systems away and refuel instead of attacking one of the fifteen targets within my attack fleet range!"

Annoying to see my fleets burn more fuel for refueling than for missions.

Do you have "Auto Refuel Manual Fleets" on?
Because if that is a issue, you need to turn it off.

The re-added "prepare and attack" order does help a little with refuelling before the final approach.

It's not a manual fleet exclusive issue. An example

I have two attack missions set on stations in an enemy system. My large attack fleet warps in and kills one of the stations. It used up just 10% of its fuel doing this. The fleet then warps out of the system back into my territory to refuel before warping back to attack the second station. The total fuel burned doing this is way more than if the fleet just did its missions "smartly" and didn't waste all this time and (ironically) fuel warping all over the place for no reason.

Okay, that does sound like a bug.

Just to be sure:
All ships had only used 10% Fuel?

Because in my experience, Fuel drains from Autoamtic fleets very unevenly.
So it could be that one ship needed a refuel, while the others were fine.
