Colony with less than 50% quality

Post by Franky007 »

After annexing an independant Boskara colony, all planets with positive suitability for the Boskara are listed as potential colony, even those with less than 50% Quality.

I doubt it is a bug, but actually a feature.

All planets with Suitability 0 or more for at least one species are listed. That is how that list is supposed to work.
If oyu want only high suitability, filter by that rather then priority.

What do you care for Quality?
It is only one part of calculating Suitability, which is what realy maters. And is 5 on this planet.

Volcanic Planets have a massive reduced quality range.
Boskara have a +30 Habitability and a 40% Treshold on Volcanic Planets

15+30-40 = 5 Suitability

If you check Galactopedia, it will give you the Quality range for each planet type. You'll notice that Volcanic go from something like 5 to 25%. You'll never find a volcanic above that, unless it's part of an event.

The races that normally live on such planets get high suitability bonuses (like Boskara).

If you click for the list of filters on that list, there should be a filter for each species in your empire, e.g. "Suitable for Boskara". Otherwise by default it's just showing you a list of all colonizeable planets in range, and the suitability value for the best suitable species in your empire.

As a side note, it would be nice if sorting by suitability would respect the racial filters. That is, "Suitable for Boskara" should sort by suitability for Boskara specifically, instead of just any highest suitablility value.

Sort Suitability for selected race

That's not a side note, that's a crucial note. What is it good for filtering "Suitable for Boskara" when filtering for "Suitablility" sorts for all races and not for "Boskara".
