Stalingrad Planning/Situational Maps

Post by governato »

Where are your units and where is the enemy? I find it really useful to print a low res, b&w/desaturated version of the map to scribble where my formations are, where they should go and where the enemy might be

Here is the whole set zipped in Letter sized pdf format. (Some maps work for several scenarios)

Give it a go. Hopefully there will be a mod/scenarios section where these can find a permanent home.

Here is an original one of the same area showing the Red Army November Counteroffensive. Rivers are blue, railroad black, main roads red. Notice the Flags marking the Army level HQs, Roman numbers pointing to each Infantry/rifle division and the wiggly lines showing where the front likely is ..and the large areas with no info on friendly OR enemy units around Kalach on the Don (which is where the Red Army Tank Corps met sealing the Stalingrad pocket). If you make any situational maps of your Stalingrad games feel free to share them! Same if you can identify those German Fonts.

Thanks. I agree that a thread dedicated to scenarios and mods would be great. An editor manual is on the way. But I will have questions on design (e.g. programing the AI) over the coming weeks.

There's a new sub forum on the Editor so can post there and I'll do my best to answer!
