Leningrad Supply?

Post by redrum68 »

Can Leningrad be supplied through the port at Kronstadt? I thought if I cut the rail at Kabozha then it would be out of supply... If so then I guess there is no way to isolate Leningrad?

Well, this is an elegant way to simulate the blockade of Leningrad without tons of rule. Then, you can do air supply to try to save and then relieve the city.

Yeah but if the rail to those hexes is cut then it should isolate the city as well. Otherwise where are the supplies coming from to supply it?

This bug was already stated in the Tech Support thread if I remember well.

Ok. I would think a simple solution is to just treat the "road of life" hex as a rail hex during winter so that supplies flow into Leningrad as long as there is a rail connection to it. Then the Leningrad port should just not provide supply since there aren't any USSR ports to send supplies to it in the baltic.

I believe that Leningrad is not a supply source. So yes the city would actually be isolated if those hex are taken. However it was still supplied by sea, so this was added to stop that as well I think.

Yeah, I think Leningrad's port should never provide supply since there aren't any USSR ports connected to it.

My thoughts around this were...

1) The ports is NOT able to provide supply once it is the last port in the Baltic.
2) IF the rail line is cut anywhere from Kabozha to Leningrad.

BUT the issue is the amount of rules required and the event file taking a while to process.
Which honestly it does not bother me...Waiting an extra minute between turns especially a PBEM game is fine.

BUT I will suggest again a PBEM scenario that removes all the AI rules in the event file which frees up about 30 to 40 extra rules.
