How do I play solitaire for this game.

If you mean playing both sides, select head to head

If by "solitaire" you mean playing one side against the computer, then see the selector button on Nomad's post. If you want to play the Allied side, choose, "Japanese Computer." Or, if you want to play the Japanese side, choose, "Allied Computer."

Head to Head mode would be if you wanted to play both sides or, more commonly, if you are playing a live opponent but sharing one computer.
