Units Mods (PzK)

Post by Hellway »

At the end of last year, I created the PzK Mods for the first Wego game Desert War 1940-1942 (see forum). I also plan to create its equivalent for the second part (Wego Stalingrad) recently released. But before I spend the necessary time, I would like to ask you if you are interested or if it is a waste of time? Thank you for your answer.

Sincerely, Hellway.

I'm definitely interested. Your mod in Desert War is impressive work, and adds to immersion.

Okey, three fan's is enough for me... ;) ...Begin with this but "release" only the final version (not every conception phases like in DW mods). I specify that I will not modify the background of the "Pics units files" (in the info bar) but that the new counters will normally be present there (on map and info bar representation).

Add immersion is really my objective for this game series (poor in vanilla versions I find). So, I already plan to improve the PzK Mods for DW by adding the artillery and flak units with their respective "servants" from the PAK Mods designed for the Panzer Corps Gold game.

In the same spirit, I release today a Sound mod for DW who replace my 'in game" music Pzk Mods (or vanilla game) by continuous Battle sounds (see DW forum).

Do you use the PzK Mods V1.3 (with blanco background of units) or 1.5 (with transparency effect to have visible colored OOB) please ?

Thanks a lot for your feedback and your support.

Sincerely, Hellway

Wow, I'm a superstar here in fact... :D ... I promise to get to work but will need time with work and life...

On the DW Forum (mods and scn), you can find now new links to replace the "in game" music with battle sounds, to use new colored counters (no new units images) made with the Stalingrad files but which respects DW's OOB (I hope) and a Desktop Icon to change the shortcut logo (only made for my ego 8-) ).

Thanks for your supports,

Sincerely, Hellway

I looked for the so called PzK mods in the DW threads but could not find them. Could you share some screenshots of your mods?

I don't have Desert War so I can't check, but does the mod replace the German flag and symbols with "historical" ones?
I would like that, but of course I am not a follower of Nazism.

Icons that take us to and after 1942 would be great. And you don't have to have every single one. Start with common ones. A panther, a Stalin tank, and/or those used in Barbarossa.
