improve scuttling, economy

Post by alexman91 »

instead of just deleting ships whu cant i recycle and get some cash back or sell to private collectors. the main reason u delete ships is to get cash and fix the deficit. i also wish there was a scuttle clicking button on the budget tab where u could see stats for most useless ships. if u have old weak escorts or idle/old constructors or explorers.
maube offer to set garrisons on reserve to put them in 1/3 cost but have a 6months remobilization timer when ur not at war

You CAN recycle your ships.

Send them to be RETIRED at a shipyard or colony. You don't get cash, but you remove their maintenance fee from the books. You also get the resources used to build them, which can turn you a profit when the private sector uses them to build ships.

Scuttling usually replaces the retirement button when the ship is too damaged to make it back to a shipyard or colony.
